Speaking and Training

Marianne is passionate about equipping parents, youth workers, and community leaders with tools to better understand and support young people. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in counselling, mentoring, and program development, she offers engaging talks and practical workshops that address key issues facing young people today. Whether speaking to parents, youth groups, or young adults, Marianne creates a safe and relatable space where participants can ask questions, gain clarity, and leave with strategies they can immediately apply.

In addition to speaking, Marianne provides training for organizations, schools, and camps, with a particular focus on equipping staff to support youth and young adults facing mental health challenges. Her background with Youth Unlimited and her cross-cultural work overseas give her a broad perspective on the challenges young people encounter today. From frontline staff at summer camps to community program leaders, she helps teams build confidence, strengthen their approach to mental health, and foster environments where youth can feel understood and thrive.

As both a registered psychotherapist and the mother of three young adults, Marianne brings not only professional expertise but also personal insight to her talks and trainings. Her sessions are grounded, compassionate, and practical—empowering adults to connect with the next generation in meaningful ways while inspiring young people to grow in resilience, confidence, and self-awareness.
